What are your fees?
None. We are retained by companies to help fill positions. Our services
are free to candidates.
What are my obligations?
There is no exclusivity. If you are contacted about a position, we will outline the process and answer any questions you may have.
I submitted my resume for one of Knapp's job postings, but haven't heard from a Knapp representative. Why?
When we work on a job opening with a client company, we obtain as much information as possible about their ideal candidate. It is impossible to include all of that information in a brief job posting. Knapp recruiters work on commission, so we are highly motivated to place people. If there is a reasonable match for your background, be assured that you will be contacted.
How long is my resume kept under consideration?
Indefinitely. Really. Our livelihood depends upon maintaining a strong "inventory" of candidates.
Should I check back with Knapp periodically?
We understand that a job search is filled with anxiety. It is impossible for a recruiter to maintain regular contact with candidates – that time is better spent in contact with companies about potential opportunities. Rest assured that you will be contacted when there is news.
Why won't Knapp tell me the name of the company with the job opening?
Oftentimes, our client company requires confidentiality. We tell you as much as possible about the opportunity without divulging the company name. Once mutual interest is established, we are then at liberty to tell you everything. Similarly, we do not provide the company with your contact information.
